Android Issue - Can't start app after reinstall.

Android Issue - Can't start app after reinstall.

I was experiencing a problem where by Spotify would not download any additional offiline files. It would flash up in the status bar saying downloading 1 of 160 (0%) and then disappear.

I had heard that this can be caused by a corrupt database and the solution was to uninstall the app and reinstall/dowload all your offline files. So I uninstalled... now I cannot get the app to open when attempting to reinstall. I get an error stating "Unfortunately, Spotify has stopped."

 

I have tired redoing the process a few times with no other results.

 

I have also noticed that after uninstalling there doesn't seem to have been an increas of available space on my SD card.

 

The Device in question is an HTC One M8 running 4.4.2 HTC Sense 6.0.

 

Any help would be much appreciated.

Can you try the steps in my post here, paying particular attention to removing all traces of spotify before reinstalling.
