My Question or Issue
I have no sound when playing tracks.
I do have sound when selecting items such as 'Explore Genres'
I've read many of the similar threads and have tried(amongst other things) all of the following:
Muting/unmuting Spotify
A Clean reinstall (delete app data and cache, uninstall, turn off, wait, turn on, reinstall Spotify)
Turn multi volume off/on
Log out on all devices, wait restart the app.
Turn phone off/on.
No joy with anything.
Any other suggestions before I have to cancel my subscription😟
I am having exactly the same issue. Have emailed customer support
I am having the same issue.
I also did a clean reinstall. and checked everything mentioned in all the FAQs but nothing works.
what is the email address to contact customer service please?
And this morning, while chatting with a support bot it's working perfectly again. Made no changes since my last attempt yesterday! So frustrating
I found a way to fix the issue. I opened up the web version of Spotify. It linked to my phone and played through my Windows laptop. Then I changed the output in the Android app and it just started working again. Very weird.
Family member tells me this can happen from time to time with Spotify
So, I have my premium acc logged in, in both my phone (realme C75) and laptop (Lenovo IdeaPad 3). I don't usually play in my laptop but the other day when I did it was playing fine, then I wanted to play the music in my phone but the sound was not coming. So, i checked the device option and checked whether the music is playing in the device I'm listening to and yes it was but still no sound so then I tried connecting my bluetooth connection because i usually use my bluetooth earbuds to listen music from my phone but there also I'm facing the same problem NO SOUND. So the i cleared the cache, reinstalled the app, made a free acc to see if there is a problem with the acc but the problem was not with the acc because it was playing fine in the laptop so the prblm is with the app. So, today also I cleared the cache again, cleared data also and forced stop the app and restarted my phone . When I logged in a played a song the sound came for one second just a second and again the same prblm no sound. Meanwhile all of this was happening i connected to the customer excutive he told me he will look into it till then I use the web Spotify and I did try and it was playing there but the only problem is in web after a while it glitches because as it is not a app so the webpage resets.
Welcome to the Spotify Community!
Could you check if the correct audio output device has been selected for Spotify? There should be an option to do this in the media player found in the notification center - just make sure Spotify is already running.
Something else you can try is:
Should the issue persist, could you let us know if you're only having this issue in the Now Playing view? For example, are you able to play previews from the Home page or explore playlists/albums?
Let us know how it goes 👍
