App closing when phone locked

Hi! Whenever I lock my phone or it goes to sleep the Spotify app just kills itself. I've gone through all my permissions to find anything that might be blocking it, I've done a clean uninstall and reinstall, I've been through my Avast Security and Battery Saving apps and made sure Spotify is allowed to do its thing, but it's still dying at random, usually a few seconds after locking. Sometimes it will last longer if the phone goes to sleep by itself but it still ends up turning itself off.

I'm using a Huawei P9 Lite.

I have a Huawei P10 and it's doing the same with me. When I restart the app the song has restarted also. It's not a gradual fade like when you switch your phone off it's a cut off. I seem to be noticing a pattern when I lock my phone but it does it randomly as well. It spoils it a bit when you're really "feeling" a song and then it just goes haha. Help!

Hi. I have this problem too and I have Huawei P10 Lite. Actually, it started after last update. I try everything, but nothing helps. I think, this problem can solve just new update.

And I noticed, when the app turns on when it switches itself off, it writes that the 'internet connection has been lost' and i use it offline.

I am on a huawei P10 also and I'm having the exact samr issue, I've tried everything from editting my optimisation settings to allowing spotify unrestricted access to data. 

Do you think it might be an issue with the phone update or with the app??
