App crashes on selecting playlists from a folder

I'm running Version 8.3.0.681 armV7

I have playlists organized in folders. If I select a playlist in a folder, the App crashes - annoying!

I have the same issue since update to version 8.1.0.785 armV7. All app versions since then cause the app crash when trying to select a playlist from a folder. Last working Android version is 8.0.0.805.

Workaround: download apk from https://spotify.de.uptodown.com/android/download/1535703. Prevent automatic updates for apps by configuring your Play Store settings accordingly. Can be done in Play Story under My Apps / Settings. But this can not be the final solution...

I have the same anoying app behavior on a Galaxy Tab S2 (Android 7) and an ASUS Zenpad S8 tablet (Android 6.0.1). Both devices run latest available firmware versions. I have cleaned up cash, installed app newly several times and in case of the ASUS also performed a device reset incl. setting the device back to default. The issue persists.

My iOS app runs smoothly (latest version) and my Windows app too.

Any help or advise from Spotify support how to wrestle that issue down?
