This is ridiculous I’ve been having this issues for over 24 hours

Beanpod looking real good if this issue isn’t resolved soon. And it’s free!

Google pixel 6a, android 14.

Issue started yesterday, couldn't play anything.  Reinstalling and changing recommended settings seems to make music playable, but podcasts crash the app almost immediately.

Reinstall, restart, battery settings, etc....all tried.

The app crashes whenever I try to play a podcast or audiobook. Started sometime after 11:00AM UTC.

I tried force stopping the app, clearing its cache, restarting my phone, clearing the app's data, reinstalling it, and none of those made a difference. I can still play podcasts and audiobooks through my phone's web browser.

I'm having the same problem, I can play music however about 2 to 3 seconds after selecting a podcast the app crushes and kicks me out. I've tried everything multiple times over the last 24 hours as well as spending hours on chat with Spotify support. I was told they are working on the issue and it will be resolved shortly they also mentioned to get back in contact if it's still an issue after 3 WEEKS!

I'm in Australia.

I have the same problem when playing podcasts on a OnePlus 7T running android 12. I only have 28G out of 128G of memory left. Could this affect it somehow?

Very frustrating!  😭  Premium User, Galaxy A34 & S23 Android 14, UK

The app crashes 2 seconds after opening, I'm unable to play music, podcasts etc.

I've tried everything possible but this happens on both of my android phones.

Please fix this as soon as possible Spotify, my train journeys to and from work are a drag with Spotify not working.

@kalavr76 Based on the testing I did, I'm guessing the last thing you played was an audiobook or podcast.  If you have access to the desktop app and can log in with the same profile, try playing a song, and then going back to the mobile app.  You might at least be able to use it for music while Spotify sorts this out.
