App keeps logging out

App keeps logging out

Hi,

I was using Spotify premium for more than a year without any problems. However, last week, when I opened the Android app, I was signed out. So I logged in, saved my playlists and continues using the app. But two days later, when I opened the app, I was signed out again. So I deleted app data & cache, uninstalled Spotify, installed it again, logged in, downloaded songs, and next day, I was again signed out. So I logged in, and so on...

Basically, the app for some reason sometimes forget EVERYTHING. I'm logged out and music saved for offline is gone, so even if I'm paying for premium, in half cases I still need internet connection to listen. I wasn't able to find anything specific behaviour that causes the issue. I'm using the app every day and sometimes when I open it, all data are gone. I have Android 7.0 and Galaxy S7 Edge. I'm not using CleanMaster or apps like that, so nothing is wiping Spotify's data. No other apps looses it's data. I tried wiping cache, reinstalling app, moving it from SD to internal storage and back, nothing helped. I'm also using Spotify on other devices and there are no problems.

The symptoms you describe have all the hallmarks of a third party app causing problems with your spotify.

If you're unable to identify the guilty app by checking what you installed in the last week, a factory reset followed by installing just the spotify app will quickly confirm if this is the case.

If the problems cease, reinstalling your other apps, one by one will help you pin down the troublemaker.

So I uninstalled all apps that I installed/updated in last month or so, and the problem is still here. Propably something wrong with the app.

I still recommend a factory reset but, before you do that, can you confirm you haven't somehow moved the app itself to the SD card?

No, the app is not at the sd card.

I'm not going to do factory reset. Find a better solution.
