Audio quality keeps resetting itself back

I cant set the quality that i want to. Its just dont allow me to do it. When i change it even if i dont relaunch spotify, it sets itself to auto quality streaming and normal quality downloading. It can be occuring in even a session or in a relaunch. It never stays in quality that i set to.

Don't hold your breath for any help.... I just swtiched from Nexus 6 to Galaxy S9+ and the issue persists across both devices.
