My Question or Issue
Hi all , I have Spotify premium, I have audio quality set to " very high " I mainly use Spotify over Bluetooth in my car, is the audio quality over Bluetooth still very high ??? I tried a free trial on tidal and a song that was in Atmos changed to " low " via Bluetooth.....tidals Low is 320kbps and Spotifys high quality is 320kbps , if Spotify drops to low via Bluetooth then that's 24kbps which is poor ???
That reply is of no use at all to me 🤦🏻
Hi @Edgie70!
The Very high audio quality setting (320 kbps) remains unchanged even over Bluetooth, but the amount of data transferred may vary depending on the codec you're using. This article goes more in-depth on the topic, so feel free to check it out if you're interested.
If you feel like the audio quality changes over Bluetooth, it's worth changing the audio codec in your phone's settings to see if it helps. You'll find a detailed guide on how to do that here. Check also if you have Data Saver toggled on in the app's settings and disable it, as it does set the audio quality to 24kbit/s.

Cheers 🤘
Thank you for your great reply , I'll check that out
Hi, did you solve this problem as I’m having the same issues.
Hi , it wasn't an issue I was asking if Spotify Bluetooth quality is reduced , I use very high setting on WiFi and data and download plus I turn off normalise volume
Hey again @Edgie70,
Bluetooth is known for reducing the audio quality, depending on the devices you use to start the playback and the connected devices it plays from and this has to do with the codecs @Yordan has mentioned.
If present, the change should be far from drastically noticeable though and the audio quality should be as close to 320kbps as possible.
Hope this helps! We're here for you in case any further questions arise 🙌🏼

My Question or Issue
Hi, streaming quality sounds very bad when I listen from my smartphone through my Bluetooth earphones. Down/up speed is near 50 Mbps when I'm connected on 4G and near 300 Mbps on WiFi.
It sounds like old 128 kbps bitrate MP3s, same kind of compression on high sounds, like bad quality hi-hat drum.
Quality options on my app are "very high".
Weeks ago everything sounds good.
Can you help me? Thanks!
