Cache error on Spotify

Cache error on Spotify

Hello, it has happened to me a few times when starting Spotify it takes a long time to load and well also if you want to search for an artist It's also difficult (in my case in the video it's the songs I like but any playlist does it). For me basically I think it could be some Spotify function that uses a lot of performance And that's why it takes so long. I have the free version and, again, it's been happening to me before. (Only on my phone (which uses Android)). Well, that's what I wanted to say. Thanks for reading, and if there's anything weird, I have written it with Google Translate because it seems that suspiciously there is no one who knows Spanish or anyone who has a translator to speak in Spanish (quite bad because you would have to be able to speak your language). Greetings, Sonny

I have tried to upload the video that I wanted to upload to be seen and I can't because the minimum is 5mb and with that I can't do nothing

I have been able to upload it to YouTube but it doesn't seem the best to me either, to be honest.

Hey there @soniaherrcres,

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

We really appreciate the video you kindly posted. It's possible that this is related to the stored cache. Since you mentioned this is happening when trying to play any playlists, we'd recommend you perform a clean reinstall of the app on the affected device. That way, you can make sure you're running the latest version available and help clearing the cache.

Such behavior might be caused also by large libraries. If you've saved a high number of playlists/songs per playlist in your library, you should consider that the app's performance might be affected. If this is your case, we’d recommend splitting up bigger playlists into smaller ones, or maybe deleting any playlists you don’t listen to anymore.

If the above doesn't do the trick, we'd like to gather some additional info. Please send us:

  • The make/model and OS of the affected device.
  • The exact Spotify version you're running.
  • Does this happen on a different mobile device? You can ask for the mobile device of a relative or a friend to open your account and check.

Lastly, English is the official language of the Community, hope you don't mind answering accordingly. Rest assured we'll do our best to help you with this one.

Keep us in the loop!
