Hi there, I see that you have Spotify free.

Due to your free plan, it’s not possible to skip ads.

They allow Spotify to offer the service free of charge.

If you don’t want to hear or see any ads, you can check out Spotify Premium, they often have discounts or trials to let you test out the service.

This is incorrect

Free version does allow ad skipping

Did you even read the link you posted?

"You can choose to skip audio and video ads. Skips are unlimited! "

Hi there, must be a difference between regions. I'm located in Canada and see this, sorry for the confusion. I'd love to live in Australia!

Doing some more digging, it appears that this is an ongoing issue, where ads cannot be skipped from outside the app.

Sorry about this, if you want you can post this issue to the Idea board and hopefully it will be picked up by Spotify!

I hope I was able to solve the problem for you! Sorry again for the confusion!

Get a VPN 😉

Haha, I should just move there, it's a beautiful country, visited in '08.

Were you able to read my other reply?

I think this is intentional. It will help to bring in more ad revenue. I have been a user for 6 years, on multiple platforms. It seems like I might finally need to switch to another music service.
