Cosmetic defect: Software update error message

This is only a minor cosmetic bug but couldn't find it mentioned elsewhere so thought I'd flag it. On my new Huawei P20 Pro, every time I open Spotify I get an error message telling me I'm using a pre-4.1 version of Android when I'm actually on 8.1. Not a major issue, just annoying. I have one friend who's having the same issue also on a P20 Pro but haven't heard anyone else with it. Screenshots attached.

Hey @sjsouthgate!

That seems odd. Let's try doing a full reinstall of the app to see if this makes any difference. Also did this start happening after a specific update or event?
