Device not connecting with desktop app

Device not connecting with desktop app

So I have a bit of an issue with spotify right now, my phone is not showing up under devices in the desktop app. Now two things have happened recently, 1 the desktop app updated, and two my phone updated as well. I have a Verizon Xperia Play, which just barely went to 2.3.4, and given some of the issues with this release, I am leaning towards Android being the cause, rather than the desktop app. Anything that can be done about this? I am on the preview app, and as such I cannot sync any local files to my phone, anything that can be done besides downgrade, on any account?
