Is there any way to actually undownload songs on a play list without deleting it?

Hey @Hannahmov, help's here. 

If you've downloaded a playlist, you can toggle off the download button and it becomes un-downloaded.  It will however still be stored in the cache for a while, so it won't free up space immediately. But the cached data will eventually be replaced with other data the more you use the app.

Just make sure to toggle the download button off only once, since toggling it on and off again delays the replacement of the cached data further. 

The other alternative is to remove all the offline data from the device and re-download the playlists you want to have available for offline listening again. You can do so from your account page.
