My Question or Issue

Past 2 or so Spotify has become extremely laggy almost as if my internet connection has been poor. 

 

Steps I've done to resolve this:

1. Tried 3 different strong wi-fi's which another identical phone as mine which has Spotify was using. The other phone worked fine. 

2. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app and wiped all data (have to redownload 4500+ songs now - how great)

3. Used Airplane mode 

4. Restarted my phone 

5. Factory reset the phone

6. Updated phone's firmware to latest version

7. Force stopped the app, cleared the cache.

 

All of these steps haven't solved the issue. 

The app takes ages to load the home screen on launch. When it does load it then takes even longer to receive any input touch e.g. selecting a playlist or the settings tab. When music is selected to play it behaves as if there is no internet connection and doesn't play the song immediately. The song then appears in the playing section with no album art but does not play. Skipping tracks does nothing either. 

 

I've never had this kind of issue before and been using Spotify since 2010. 

 

Can someone help?
