Genius Behind the Lyrics removed?

My Question or Issue

Was the Genius Behind the Lyrics feature removed from the mobile app?  If so, when?  It doesn't seem to be there anymore with songs that ARE showing it on Roku and/or Chromecast (Chromecast shows it on more songs than Roku).  Just wondering if this is true and if so when the change was made.  Seems to be pretty recent.  Again, it IS still working on Roku and Chromecast.

Can you perform aclean reinstall of the app? This will make sure there's no old cache files causing this.

If that doesn't do the trick, can you log into another device to see if the issue persist.

I don't want to do a clean reinstall and lose all my downloads, plus there was a recent update.  I really think Behind the Lyrics has been discontinued in the mobile app and is now just showing up on streaming platforms like Roku and Chromecast. The evidence seems to point in that direction.  There is no option in advanced preferences to turn it on, for example.

We tried from our end and can confirm that Behind The Lyrics works directly in the phone and also while using Chromecast.

Can you try to restart your router?

If that doesn't do the trick, can you try from a different device to see if the issue persist?

Behind the Lyrics was removed to make way for Lyrics which allows users around the world to connect with music and artists they love on an even deeper level.

Can someone help me? I have the iphone SE 2020, and I don't know if there's a way to connect genius to spotify on there, so I can't look at recently played. Is there a way to connect it?

Honestly i feel like they should bring back some form of the Genius Lyrics under songs where lyrics otherwise cannot be provided by musixmatch, as musixmatch is not actually all that great for simple community members like it advertises itself to be. If there is a song by a smaller artist that which does not have lyrics for it by spotify, people have to go offsite or out of application to find the lyrics on genius which does allow the general community to contribute lyrics.
