Has Spotify gotten better about normalizing volume between albums?

Has Spotify gotten better about normalizing volume levels between different albums, or is it just a coincidence that albums I've been listening to lately are at about the same volume?  When I first started using Spotify months ago, I had a serious problem when shuffling songs with some being extremely low volume and others extremely loud, requiring a constant adjustment of the volume knob on my car stereo.  Lately, I have not noticed this problem.  Granted, my playlist has changed a lot since then.

I would say that they've normalized almost all songs even without the option now days which is great because the option to normalize often makes all noises lower which really isn't what I need.

What's a Spotify Rock Star, and how do I become one?
