My Question or Issue

When I'm using spotify my screen automatically turns off after a few seconds, wich is natural and expected, but I often find this to be an inconvenience as I have to pick up my phone in order to unlock it, and so I have to pick up my phone everytime I want to change the playlist I'm listening to. My question is, is there any option that allows me to have my screen permanently ON while I'm using spotify? I've looked trough the definitions and I can't find anything that helps me. It would be really nice if I could somehow deactivate the option to "Turn off automatically"

The Spotify app does not currently have a built-in "keep screen always on" feature yet, however, it seems that an idea about implementing it has already been submitted here, so be sure to check it out and show your support.

Note that despite its status, the idea is open for voting, so you can still give it a thumbs up. We revisit such ideas on regular intervals and it just might be that their time would be right in the future.

Until recently, whenever I'm listening to music on Spotify and I had the phone charging, the screen never turned off, it's on all the time. But today, I've noticed that while listening and phone is charging, after few minutes, the screen would turn off and I have to unlock the phone to see the picture again. Does anyone know how to fix this as I prefer to have the screen on all the time while listening. This is only happened if the phone is on charging but it's no longer happening now. Thank you for your help

Hey @kittymelody,

I believe the setting you're looking for is Android-related and not a Spotify one.

Apart from the regular increased screen timeout timer (Settings -> Display -> Screen Timeout), there's another a bit more hidden setting that I think needs to be toggled on again. Go to Settings -> Additional Settings -> Developer Mode (search the web how to activate this according to your Android version if it's not present on your device) and toggle "Keep the screen on while charging" on. 
In case it's on but not working for some reason, toggle it off and back on again. A similar result can also be achieved while using the battery but I think you'd need a third party app for that.
