My Question or Issue
How do I unlink my phone app from what is playing on my laptop? Spotify isn't even open on my phone and it takes over everything. Volume, notifications, running in background, etc. If I launch Spotify on my phone, sure show me what is playing on my computer. Once I close the app, completely close it. If I wanted to listen to podcasts/music/etc on my phone, I'd launch the app.

Hey @mjn0924,

Thanks for posting in the Community.

For that not to happen you can logout from the app on the phone when using the computer or make sure the app is not running in the background by closing it.

Hope this clears things a bit.

Cheers!

I have the same problem between my phone and my alexa speaker groups. Pop some ambient music to play across the house, go to watch some youtube or tiktoks and all of a sudden my phone volume rocker makes the whole house blast instead of turning the volume up on my media on my phone. The solution proposed is bad because sometimes I use both at once.
