I can't change my profile picture

When I go to my profile, I can change my name but not my profile picture. The option "change" just doesn't appears. I have tried everything and I still can't find a solution. I'm very sad because I always use Spotify and I can't believe that I'm having this problem.

Hey @Emma286, welcome to the Spotify Community!

You can open your profile page in the Spotify app. Then click EDIT to change the name or profile picture. You will see a white pencil icon next to the profile picture. Click that to update your profile picture.

If that does not work, please share a screen-recording while you try to update the same.

Let me know how that goes.

Thanks for getting in touch about this and welcome to the Community! 

Just to confirm, what device you're trying to change your profile picture on? If you're using the mobile app, you just need to tap on your picture in the upper left corner > View profile. There, just under your current picture, you can find the "Edit" option and if you tap on it, you should be able to see the pencil icon which will give you 3 options; "Choose photo", "Take photo", "Remove current photo". 

If you're using the desktop app, you need to click on your current profile picture on the upper right corner of the app > Profile. Then, you just need to hover over the picture to reveal the pencil icon. Clicking on it will give you the option to upload a picture from your PC. 

If you still can't see these options, could you send us a screenshot of what you're seeing on your end? You can attach it to your next response by using the Insert image option in the post editor. Make sure not to send any private info.

This is odd, you should be able to see the option to change your profile picture by following the steps that @Eni provided above. Would you mind confirming the make, model, OS version and the Spotify version currently running on the affected device(s)? Also, is it the same when you use the web player?

It'd also be helpful if you could send over a screenshot or a video where we can take a better look at this behavior. You can attach it to your next response or upload the video to another platform like YouTube or Google Drive and send a link to it. Make sure to exclude any personal info from it.

Just to confirm, does the edit button still not appear after following the steps mentioned by @Eni? If that's the case, it would be great if you could send us the following details, so we can investigate the issue further:

• Your device's make, model and operating system.
• Exact Spotify version.
• Any troubleshooting steps you've tried (clearing cache, clean reinstall, trying from another device, etc.)
• A screenshot showing how things look from your end. Just make sure it doesn't include any personal info.
