My Question or Issue
On lock screen controls, pressing skip back 15 seconds is instead skipping forwards.
Hey @SeanGorman, @RiXarDS & @Pisseduser575,
Thanks for sharing your issue with us!
As @MihailY has mentioned, we suspect that in your situation, this may be device-related.
We'd suggest reaching out to your device's manufacturer and checking if there are any system settings that might be causing this behavior.
Keep us posted on how things go! 🙂
This still exists. OnePlus10 Pro, Android 13, OxygenOS 13.1
Spotify v8.8.62.491
Tried clean re install, no luck.
Hey there @erikz111,
Thanks for getting in touch about this and welcome to the Community.
Could you check if the OS of your phone has any pending updates?
On another note, would you mind asking a friend or a relative to log in to their account on your phone to check if they can replicate this behavior with their account?
Keep us posted on how it goes.
No updates are pending.
Same behavior occurs with different accounts.
Hi @erikz111,
Thanks for your reply.
Could you let us know if this happens with all podcasts or only with a specific one?
You mentioned that you performed a clean reinstall of the app, but could you check if you've followed these specific steps?
On another note, would you mind logging out and then logging back in to your account twice in a row? We know this sounds odd, but it'll trigger a sync between your account and phone.
Keep us posted on how it goes.
It does happen with every podcast.
Yes I did follow those steps.
And no, logging out and back in twice did not make any difference.
I just got this phone (OnePlus 10 Pro), this was not an issue on my old one (OnePlus 7T Pro)
Hey @erikz111,
Thanks for getting back to us.
We've forwarded this to the relevant team here at Spotify, however, we can't confirm when it will be addressed.
@Jwerty, @rohan9211, @Penkztern, can you confirm if the issue persists for you? If yes, please share your current Spotify version.
Keep us posted.
This reply has absolutely nothing to do with the problem described in the post, it's just mindless copy-pasta.
Got the same problem for a few months now on a Android - ColorOS 13.1 in CH with Premium Spotify and an app that is up-to-date as per Oct 27, 2023. Highly annoying.
I can confirm that this is still an issue. Clean install doesn't solve the issue and there are no pending issues. It happends for every podcast.

My Question or Issue
When I'm listening to a podcast, and use the rewind button from the quick menu (swipe down), the "rewind 15 sec" button instead jumps forward about a minute.
Hey there @OivindAlvestad,
Thanks for reaching out!
Could you check if clearing stored cache makes any difference? Try logging out and back in again once it's done. This should help resync your account info.
You can also try a clean reinstall, this will clear the cache too, as well as ensure you're running the latest app version.
If that doesn't do the trick, could you check if the same thing happens on another device that you use Spotify on?
Let us know how you get on.

In the lock screen Spotify widget, both 15s skip buttons are turned around compared to in the Spotify app. So if you press the left one, you skip 15 seconds ahead and if you press the right one, you skip 15 seconds back. Inside the app it is the other way round and much more logical of course. Please swap the buttons on the lock screen widget so that the left one goes back and the right one skips ahead. Thank you.
Hey @Rick_Blaine99,
Thanks for posting on the Community!
Could you give the following steps a shot, as they seem to be working for some users, and replace the lock screen controls with the Spotify notification widget:
1. Go to Settings > Lock screen > FaceWidgets > turn off Music.
2. Still in your Settings > Lock screen > Notifications > View styled > Detailed.
Once it's done, try restarting the Spotify app and check if you notice a difference.
Let us know how it goes!
Hello Maria,
Unfortunately, this doesn't work. Facewidgets is a Samsung feature and I have an Oppo phone. I tried to fix it by enabling the Spotify widget on always on screen (the only music controls I could find in settings) but using this widget gives the same problem of inverted buttons. Anyway, it should just work in the standard lock screen widget too, so I hope you can fix this or contact Google so they can fix it.

My Question or Issue
On the lock screen the short 15 second Rewind and FastForward buttons are the wrong way round.
Hit rewind and it goes Forward.
Same issue on Oppo Find X5.
The rewind button on the lock screen widget skips forwards.
Hey @r-zif9te_77e9 and @Gizmo2501,
Welcome to the Community!
Have you guys tried any troubleshooting steps so far such as logging out > logging back in and restarting your devices for example? When did you first notice this issue and does it happen on another device?
So we can get a better look of the situation, it'd be great if you could send us a video recording showing what the app looks like from your end (only make sure no sensitive info is visible). You can attach it to your next response by using the Insert Video option in the post editor. If the attachment is too big - we'd suggest that you upload it to Google Drive and share the link with us (make sure the video has the permissions for anyone to see it) or upload it as unlisted YouTube video(s).
Thanks and we hope to hear from you soon 🙂
Same issue for me. Is this just affecting phones from BBK then? e.g. Realms Oppo and OnePlus?
Really annoying that it only affects Spotify.
I'm on a OnePlus 8T, Android 13.
