Lock screen "don't play button" functionality

Hi Team, 

I am using Spotify on a Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 on Android Pie. In the lock screen I have a "don't play button" and I am trying to figure out if it is equivalent to not playing this song again or the artist as clicking on the same button inside the app shows those 2 options. Thank you in advance!
