My Question or Issue

On the album view the art is really low resolution. It looks awful on any album.

The now playing screen on the other hand looks fine, anyone know how to fix this?

2023 and album covers still look so low quality on Android. Come on guys. In Tidal they look high quality as **bleep** and they even have some album covers with nice "moving" effects.

Just to illustrate how much of a joke Spotify is on android, here are two screenshots.

One is an iPhone and one is my Xperia 1 iii.

Even on the now playing screen where android loads a higher resolution image from the album view, it STILL looks much worse.

Look at all the lines on android, nowhere to be found. The colours are also washed out because for some stupid reason, on android the Spotify app doesn't seem to use a compatible colour space.

Spotify seriously, this is embarrassing, why do you screw over your android users so much?!

Spotify seems to have lower quality album covers.

I checked this issue on my friend's phone and with different wifi connection and they all have low quality album art. It's been almost a year now, I hope it's getting fixed soon.

As of right now, looks like this issue is fixed.

This is a really simple fix, there is something that keep Spotify limiting the quality from the album cover, it happens to every Android 12+ phone's, I'm disappointed that this issue haven't fix since 2021, eather increase the resolution or there is a bug inside the Spotify compression. And please fix this issue before adding more features

What's Android version that you use? I don't see any problem on me, mine A13

The problem is fixed now. Oddly enough it was only for a few hours last night. But since I'm at it, the "made for you" section playlists are in low quality (ever since before). The other playlists and album covers are high quality.
