Mobile Push Notification Gets Stuck on One Song

My Question or Issue

 When I am streaming on my phone my notification will occassionally freeze completely and no longer display the correct song. The buttons (skip and toggle play/pause) still work, but also don't change. For example, when the song is paused, the button graphic doesn't change to reflect that fact. 

My main issue with this is that on my lockscreen it doesn't show me the correct song, so I can't check a song title without totally unlocking my phone AND switching to the app.
