My Question or Issue

I have downloaded songs and playlists offline use but when I play on offline mode the same downloaded music it won't play until I deactivate offline mode. Had this premium package for months now and was working perfect on offline mode. My mobile data wouldn't be used up. Now I can't play unless I deactivate it. All I can think of that changed is a software update because 24 hrs ago it was perfect.

I had the Enhance option enabled on my Liked songs list which prevented downloaded songs from playing in Offline mode. Worked fine after I disabled this option.

So I had this same issue (Galaxy S20FE) and went to my app settings to clear cache, noticed that all my permissions were denied (including storage). I allowed storage, cleared cache, and restarted my phone and now the download toggle is available on my Spotify library.

I don"t use the enhanced option, so that's not the cause for me.

As suggest earlier in the thread I tried deleting cache and resetting the device. Still not solved.

Hi @synchronobleh

Thanks for keeping in touch and for the info provided.

We just want to make sure we understand the situation. Just to clarify, your saved content and download content are different. Only the music you have downloaded to listen offline will play when you don't have an internet connection or turn offline mode on.

Now, we understand your downloaded content is not working offline. If that's the case, we'd recommend deleting all the downloads by going to the app Settings > Storage > Remove all downloads. Also, select the Clear cache option there. Then restart Spotify and your device, and try downloading one of your playlists/albums again. If that doesn't help and you have an SD on the device, try removing the SD card and check if your offline content loads without inserting it back.

Lastly, if you have the chance, ask a relative or friend to log in with their account on your device and download a playlist or album to check if it works. This will help us rule out if it's device-related.

We'll wait for your reply.

Thank you for your email i sorted it as follows. I deleted the app and
reinstalled it later on. (I left it an hour or so before rein
stalling but to be fair i do not think this time made any difference to the
result at all, i could have reinstalled straight away or left it for ages i
think.) Its all good now i think it was just a glitch in my ipad to be
honest.
