My Question or Issue
“I have a playlist where there are no transitions between songs when played on a Xiaomi 13T smartphone, but when I send this playlist to an LG TV the songs start to have transitions. Is it possible to remove the transitions, and how?

Hey there @nhayden69,
Thanks for reaching out on the Community! We'd love to help, we just need a few more details on what's happening from your end 🙂
Keep in mind that there are a few different ways to switch on transitions, and some playlists might even have preset ones. Make sure to have a look at this article for more details on transitions and see if anything sounds similar to what you're experiencing. It's worth checking the Mixed Playlist article as well, just to be on the safe side.
If the transitions you're noticing persists, could you let us know if they happen at any specific points? For example - at the end of a track and start of a new one, or once there's a certain amount of time left of the current track, or are the songs abruptly ending or flowing into each other? Feel free to include as many details as possible and we'll see what we can suggest.
Cheers!
Hello Maria,
I did what the article said, but it didn't work.
I'll tell you what happens. The album Misplaced Chilhood from Marillion plays without pauses between tracks and works like this on my smartphone, but as I said when sending it to the TV, it starts playing with pauses between tracks.
Hey again @nhayden69,
Thanks for following up with more details here - we appreciate it!
As the pauses do not happen between tracks when listening on your phone, it sounds like it might be related to the Gapless or Crossfade feature. It's worth noting that transition features are not supported while using Connect and TVs.
I also had a listen to the album you mentioned (it's a nice one I must say😎), and it's seems like these particular songs overlap a bit with each other (eg. one track ends in the way the other one starts). With certain setups, you might notice a brief delay before the next track begins. This could depend on a variety of different factors, such as current TV setup, network connection and its strength/speed, as well the specific content being played.
We hope this clears things up! We're just a post away if anything else pops up.
