Have now experienced this too. Changed out a broken Note 9 for a new one and Spotify just keep exiting immediately after trying to open it. Phone software is fully up to date along with the 1st July 2020 Security Patch level.

Did you try and look if there is an update for the app, restart your device, reinstall the app?

here  is a post for a clean reinstall of the app it may help for the app to start without crashing.
