My Question or Issue

After the new android update I did today, the media controls for spotify will not work on the lock screen. I have searched for a fix, but everthing i've tried has not worked. Here is what I have tried:

-Reinstalling

-Clearing the cache

-Restarting my phone

-Making sure all permissions are enabled

-Setting notifications as sound and pop up

-Allowing it to ignore do not disturb

-Changing my lock screen notification general settings

-Checking for updates

Nothing has worked and this is very annoying. Please fix this
