Since I own a OnePlus 6 I always have the problem that Spotify is offline when I connect to a WiFi. When I disconnect from WiFi and use mobile internet Spotify works fine.
When I reinstall the app spotify works via WiFi until I leave the WiFi. after that I experience the same behavior as before.

And mysteriously the no internet connection error is back after resting for a few months. Have not changed anything. Only with Spotify on Android 12, all other apps function normally. Spotify on Windows on the same Wifi functions normally.
There is no option to change the DNS settings on my router though, as mentioned by the last poster. Out of ideas, again. Help?
Hey @tan3lt,
Thanks for the post.
Sorry to hear that the issue is back.
Can you let us know if you get the error only on your home WiFi or also on mobile data or another WiFi network? Also, once the error message appears, does it go away in a few minutes or after restarting the app?
Keep us posted on this.
Wifi only. This time actually the songs are still playable, even though they are greyed out and the "no internet connection available" message never goes away. Other functionality is disturbed though like refreshing Discover Weekly and adding songs to Liked.
Hey @tan3lt,
Thanks for your reply.
Just to confirm, does it happen when logging in with another mobile device?
Also, send us over a short video showing the issues you see from your end.
We'll be here standing by.
Everything working fine on an iPhone on the same Wifi network.
I can't post a video due to the 5 MB size limit, but enjoy this photo of the error message. It remains in the same place forever.
Hey @tan3lt,
Thank you for keeping in contact and for the screenshot you shared.
It is possible that the router has some DNS misconfiguration that could cause this issue. We'd recommend disconnecting your router for more than a minute to reset the settings. If that doesn't work, could you verify if the app has all the required internet permissions as mentioned before by @meltac here.
Also, if the issue persists, would you mind checking with a different WiFi network or a mobile data hotspot to see if it makes any difference?
Hope this helps. If anything else comes up, don't hesitate to ask.
Restarting the router doesn't have an effect. App has all permissions.
If I use another mobile to make a hotspot from this Wifi then suddenly Spotify comes online.
Straight connection to the Airtel router though it remains at No Internet Connection. Again, only app that has any issue with this Wifi.
Hey @tan3lt
Thank you for your reply.
If the issue is happening only with the Airtel network directly, it's probable that the root of the issue isn't directly related to the app. However, there are other tests we can do here.
Could you connect a different mobile device to your Airtel network and check if you're able to open Spotify?
Also, please check if you're able to access the Web Player.
Let us know how this goes.
Well, it IS directly related to the app, but happens only on Android. I tested with an iPhone on the same Wi-Fi and experienced no issues with the Spotify app.
Opening the web version of Spotify also works normally on my Android phone.
Hey @tan3lt,
Thanks for the replies.
The issue you're experiencing seems to be isolated to your network configurations. Have you tried using a different router? We understand, that a hot spot through a different device works, but could you also try a different router, as the hot spot success makes me believe it is a router issue?
Keep us posted,
Cheers!
Also, thank you for your replies, but this seems to be leading nowhere.
Changing the router might as well do the trick, but I don't have extra routers lying around the house nor will I purchase one just to fix the behaviour of 1 singular app.
All I wanted was to ask if someone has experienced this before and has a software fix, which wouldn't cost money.
Cheers!
