Note 4 Sticky Notification and Lock Screen Controls not working

Hello. I recently got the Note 4 from T Mobile and downloaded Spotify. However when I started using it I noticed something wrong with the sticky notification telling you the song and controls and also the controls on my lock screen. Whenever I press the pause button it doesn't turn into a play symbol like it should and "freezes." The song actually does pause but it looks like the controls in the notification bar stopped working. Also, when a new song starts playing, it does not update to new song, artist, etc. UNLESS I open spotify in recent apps. I already have tried what I can do here. https://community.spotify.com/t5/forums/mobileforumtopicpage/board-id/spotifyandroid/thread-id/33466 I have tried disabling music controllers like Milk and Google Music but it doesn't do anything. Is there a way to fix this? Thank you in advance for your reply.

If mine, all of the buttons in the notification doesn't work. It works before, but now, it doesn't.
