Hey there @linky2012,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community and welcome!

As a first step, could you try logging out, restarting your device, and logging back in? Try closing the app twice in a row to see if that does the trick. If it persists, we suggest running a clean reinstall of the app by following these steps. This can be helpful to get rid of any cached files that might be causing trouble.

Also, make sure that Spotify has all permissions enabled in your phone's settings.

Keep us posted on how it goes 🙂

Did all that still didn't work must be the notification settings from Spotify or the way Nubia notifications work cause the default music app has no problem keeping up with it

Hey @linky2012,

Thanks for your post.

Can you go into you phone's setting and check if Spotify is granted all Permissions?

Keep us posted.

First thing I did. it has been a common issue with Nubias os

Hey @linky2012,

Thanks for the reply.

You can try logging in with a different Spotify account. This way you can test if the issue is account related or device-related.

Let us know how you get on.

Tried that still a problem. As I said before I'm not the only person who has this problem with Nubia devices

Hey @linky2012

Thanks for keeping us in the loop.

If the issue persists across multiple accounts on the same device this most probably means it's related to the specific device setup. We recommend logging in to your Spotify account on another device just to check if you observe the same.

In case this doesn't occur on a different device, we'd suggest making sure that your original device is up-to-speed with any software updates available.

Hope this helps. We'll look out for your reply.

Only happens with this device. Have tried a factory reset and reinstalled the rom still didn't work

Hi there @linky2012,

Thank you for your reply and confirmation.

If you have an SD card we suggest that you uninstall the app > turn off your phone > take out your SD card > turn on the phone again (without the SD card) > reinstall the app since the card can be corrupted.

On another note, can you log in with another account on the device this occurs on - such as a friend's or a family member's to see if the issue persist?

We'll keep an eye out for your reply.

Cheers!

Live, love, laugh and listen to music 🙂

The device has no sd card slot and yes I can and it still does it

Hey @linky2012,

Thanks for the reply.

Another thing I can think of is the screen refresh rate. Try switching it to 60Hz, as the Spotify app doesn't have native support for higher refresh rates. This could be playing part in the issue.

Let us know if that helps.

I tried it on 60hz but the issue is still there. Can't stand using 60hz

Hi again @linky2012

Thanks for keeping us in the loop.

Just to confirm, have you tried using a different internet connection?

Also, could you let us know the Spotify version you're currently running?

We'll keep an eye out for your reply.

Yeah I did still doesn't help and I'm using the beta v 8.6.26.897 but I had this problem before I joined the beta

Hey @linky2012,

Thanks for your reply.

This, as you mentioned, seems to be isolated to your specific device/setup. We'll pass this info on to the right folks to be looked into. However, we can't commit to a timeframe for when or if this will be fixed.

You could try reaching out to the manufacturer to check if they can give you more info. In the meantime, we suggest keeping the app updated.

If you need a hand with anything else, give us a shout.

Take care!
