Old widgets on Android 7.0

So I recently updated my Xperia Z5 to Android Nougat, and I noticed both the lockscreen and notification widgets were white. But I gave my phone a factory reset and all of the sudden the app is now somehow a system app, and the widgets look like the old version ones, does anyone know how to solve this? Cause it's ticking my inner OCD.

It's happening for me too. White controls were far better and truly consistent with Nougat's Material Design.
