[PLAYBACK] Songs quickly pausing and resuming after starting playback

My Question or Issue

After playing a song anywhere in the app, it quickly pauses and then resumes (the song will play for one second, then pause for less than a second, then resume playing. This doesn't happen for continuous playback (songs that start automatically), only for manual playback.

This does not happen on my old Moto G3 device with Android 6 using the same account.
