Upgraded to premium, have the receipt. Does not seem to be working, still have ads and still says to upgrade. I tried clicking upgrade again and it showed I was already premium, I've tried everything I've found so far on this site and no dice. I've seen many similar posts. Various solutions. please help.

I am having this same issue. Premium is not working on my iphone 4, I have deleted the app, turned off my phone and re-dowloaded it - still isnt working. Destop version says that I have premium, mobile doesnt!
It's working now. I re-upgraded to premium and it's working.
Hi. Please check your subscription page. Be sure your status says 'You have an active Spotify Premium subscription'. If it does, log out and back in making sure you use the same credentials on both your desktop client and your mobile device.
I am having the same problem. I upgraded to premium and it is working on my tablet and my computer but not on my phone. I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling and logging in. Once logged in it states that I can't download any music or star any music due to not being a premium member. If it is a matter of having too many devices (I have two laptops 1 work 1 home and a tablet...I would prefer the two computers and the phone over the tablet...)....please help.

Can you try fully powering off (battery pull if possible!) and then restarting your device and logging in again ensuring you are logging in using the correct details?
