Premium subscription with Ads!

Solved!

Premium subscription with Ads!

I use the Spotify app on my Samsung Galaxy, and today it started playing ads and interrupting tracks even though I pay for a premium individual plan. Whenever I open the app, my account doesn't seem to connect automatically like it used to? I try to add it, it shows the log in screen, all fine, but then it still doesn't link the account. So now I am paying for a service I am not using!!!

Plan

I would try uninstalling and reinstalling the app, that usually fixes most issues.

Getting ads whilst having Premium has been a known bug, which should be fixed now but they have said “If you're still having issues, remember to log out of the app and back in again 2-3 times in a row in order to force a resync” so maybe try that too (link to post I got that from is here: https://community.spotify.com/t5/Ongoing-Issues/Premium-users-hearing-ads/idi-p/6698887).

If both fail, another usual troubleshooting step is clearing cache and data (see https://support.spotify.com/uk/article/storage-information/) and making sure your app is up to date.

Hope that helps
