Public and collaborative playlist problem

I've created a playlist that i want a bunch of friends to be able to see and add to. I made it public and collaborative but no one can see it. They can see certain playlists that i have but not this one. When I go back into settings for the playlist there is the option to turn collaborative off but no option to make secret. If i turn collaborative off then it gives me an option to make it public. Can I not have it public and collaborative?

Collaborative playlists are set as private automatically to avoid vandalism. If you think this should change, add your support to this idea. Until they can implement some sort of permission system for these playlists it's unlikely to change.

Meanwhile, you can send your friends the spotify URI so they can access the playlist.
