Search from car Google says "Only for Spotify Premium"....

My Question or Issue

Hi, 

Just a quick question about searching for music in my car. I use the Google search button on my steering wheen and use voice prompts to search for music on Spotify. My Spotify works perfectly on my car display and speakers but when I search for anything at all, let's say for example ABBA, Waterloo, it ALAWAYS says searching for ABBA, Waterloo is only for Spotify premium members , but why dont you try this Spotify ABBA Waterloo channel. Then it plays Waterloo!!! I am a premium subscriber on Spotify so why does it always say that? When I had my old account with my Gmail email address, it never said that! Now I have this account on Spotify with my email from my domain, it says that. I deleted the Gmail spotify account but cannot use that email address as Spotify says that it's being used even though I closed and deleted the account. Any ides?

This behaviour is quite peculiar and we haven't seen anything quite like this. The email change really shouldn't have anything to do with it, so that's probably just a coincidence. Let's cover our bases first - if you haven't done so, please perform a full clean reinstall of the app on your phone, reinstall the Spotify app on Android Auto and reestablish the connection between the two. Hopefully this will clear any hiccups that may be causing the behaviour.
