My Question or Issue
In the past, in Library -> Albums section, when sorting "from newest" the albums on top would be the last added (liked) in the past. Now it seems that albums I listened to most recently would be on top (even if added years ago). Is it meant to be that way? It is quiteunconvinient.
Solved! Go to Solution.
It's a joke. The lack of responses from Spotify is infuriating
I would also like to be removed from the test. I sort albums by recently added and find the trial system frustrating. I will try another music service if this isnt fixed.
Just wanted to add to this discussion, that Spotify for me got more or less useless on my phone due to this "update". I just use it on my PC as of now. Please either give us the option to opt out of being in this "testgroup" or add the "sort by added" function. I am a proud Spotify user for ten years now and don't wanna switch services, but you guys don't seem to leave us any choice.
I would also like to be removed from this test. It offers no value to me and stops me from using to Spotify to find new music and listen to it later without making a note of all the different albums I have found.
Any update on this?
Obviously they don't care.
I just made a trial subscription at Tidal which is very spotify-like. I also paid 5 bucks for transferring my library from Spotify to Tidal and there is not much music missing. Not even 1%. Cool thing with the transferring tool that Tidal uses on their website is that you can download a .csv table of what couldn't be added afterwards. This helps you pretty well with searching for it at a later time or just with not forgetting what your faves are and were.
It's way easier to use and all over all it seems to be better. I will use both streaming services for 1 or 2 months - then I'll decide what I'm gonna keep. But most probably Spotify will lose me as a subscriber.
Can't believe this really happened, but I can sort by date added again. Thanks, kind people of Spotify!
Same for me - can sort by date added again. FINALLY
Finally works for me as well! Please never revert back to that being the only option, having them as two separate choices is the best solution.
Yeah, I'm also glad to have this feature back in Spotify. But in the meantime I checked Tidal and really like it, it's much easier to use and runs a lot smoother, and there are some artists and labels that quit having their stuff on Spotify but have it online on the other platforms.
I will use both Spotify and Tidal for a while and see how things are developing...
