Sporadic playback

Every so often whilst listening to a playlist or an album, the current track ends but when the next track starts it's silent. I forward a few tracks and it's still silent, I go back to the track that played correctly last and no problems. 

Also it keeps going offline, I have unlimited data with full 4g signal. Other music streaming service like amazon works perfectly when having to switch. Prefer spotify, not keen on amazon music layout!

Having thoughts about cancelling my membership if this carries on.

Why does it suddenly go silent playback after working perfectly well for a while?
