Spotify Android app stuck offline

Hi there, I tried searching for this problem but the only threads i could see are from over a year ago and couldn't see any solution...

I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S4 and i'm a Spotify Premium user. Whenever I open the app on my phone, it tells me i'm offline and that I need to connect to the internet, even though I'm connected to my wi-fi. There is nothing wrong with my connection, as I can use all other online functions of my phone without any issues. Spotify refuses to connect to the internet, and the only thing that resolves it is if I turn my phone off and on again - once the phone reboots it seems to connect fine. It's pretty annoying - is there any answer to this?
