My Question or Issue
The Spotify app for Android TV is not working. Songs play for 8 seconds without sound and then skip to the next song, again without sound. Other apps on the TV work fine. I cleared the cache, uninstalled the app, reinstalled it, and rebooted the TV, but nothing worked.

Hey folks,
This issue should now be resolved!
Updating the Spotify app on your AndroidTV to the latest version (1.85.3) should fix the playback issues for you 🙂
Cheers!

My Question or Issue
As encountered on Apple TVs, Samsung TVs, and Other Android TVs, this same issue persists on the WebOS client.
No audio or even video will play when a track is set to play, however the playhead moves for a few seconds, until it eventually auto-skips, leading to the same behaviour.
This seems to have gotten fixed on a multitude of other devices, however the webOS store version of the Spotify app remains unchanged since 13/12/2023 (Version 2.0.34)
EDIT: Seemingly this behaviour has started happening to the rest of the media played on the TV afterwards, outside of the Spotify app, with the only fix I could discover being turning the TV off, unplugging its power, waiting a few minutes, then re-plugging it.
As of right now I am unsure if this device-wide issue has been influenced or caused by the spotify app, or if it stems from elsewhere.
No it is not fixed. What am I doing wrong? I deleted the app; disconnect internet; reboot TV; install Spotify app. Problem is still there.
Is there another solution or what am I missing?
I have no sound on Spotify through my TV. Any help out there?
Spotify finally works!! Every few months I try Spotify on my Samsung TV. I’ve had the TV for at least 2 years and Spotify app has never worked. But a miracle has occurred because it is working just fine today!! No idea what changed. Hoped it stays fixed!!

My Question or Issue
I'm having a really annoying problems with the fire stick app. When I switch to audio, he goes mute for 10 secs and then skips the music, it does with every song and only plays with the video version, but the video version is not good.
Anyone else having the same issue?
Thanks!
I am very late to seeing this but I do believe it’s a Spotify problem and not my TV. It’s the same exact issue everyone else has so I don’t know why you think my suggestion doesn’t belong.I’m admittedly not the most technologically knowledgeable and I don’t know what exactly about my temporary fix explains what’s wrong but I can promise you it’s only Spotify that I have an issue with. I have to reset my network every single time I want to use the app on the TV but I can use literally everything else just fine. I do agree the suggestion to just use what worked for me is very **bleep** as well because this should just be fixed by Spotify and not amateur attempts at patching the problem by people like me but I just wanted to share what worked for me (temporarily) in case someone else could use the same method. And please I’m not a man 😭😭😭 If you do think it’s just my TV, how would you know? Would I have this issue on other apps to be able to tell? because I only have this problem with Spotify so I’d like to know if I need to get a new TV.
Tried the app on my Onn TV last night and it’s not fixed for me. Same issue as before. Same attempt at loopholing the issue as before. Literally nothing has changed since I commented on here in November. Is it working correctly for everyone else now?
