Device Amazon Fire 8 tablet
Operating System Fire OS 5.3.7.0
Is there a way to do this without downloading lots of other apk apps etc first, and will Spotify be releasing the new kids app on Amazon Appstore soon?
Hey there @DanBignold,
Thanks for posting about this here in the Community!
Currently, you can only find the Spotify Kids app in the iOS App Store or Google Play store so it won't be possible to download the app through the Amazon App Store.
Further, we don't have any news about the app being available in the Amazon App Store for now.
However, if this is something you'd like to see in the future, we'd strongly suggest sharing this in our Ideas Exchange. This way, other Spotify users can add their support and contribute to the discussion on this.
To get started, you can find more info on how to post an idea in this Spotify Answer.
Hope this is helpful but don't hesitate to give us a shout if there's anything else!
Have a lovely day 🙂

I find it pretty ridiculous that you can download Spotify onto your child’s Amazon fire kids tablet but you can’t download Spotify kids. It’s a tablet designed specifically for kids.
I would LOVE to see the kids app available on Amazon devices! Or at the very least, since the regular app is available, the ability to login and switch to the kids profile so once created on a supported device kids they can still have the parent controlled Playlists/searching options etc.
It’s been a year since I added my voice to the chorus of parents, what news, Spotify??? When will my kids be able to download Spotify Kids on their FreeTime Kindle Fire tablets?? They will haves aged out of that technology while we’re waiting.
Like everyone else says, none of these things are solutions or even workarounds. And nor is there any explanation that is anything more than repeating the issue in other ways.
There is no good reason for this.
Super disheartening that Spotify hasn’t made any progress in developing an app for the fire tablets in the two years since this thread was posted. I’m a long time Spotify lover, my kid is recently following in my footsteps. Decided to upgrade to Spotify Family when I saw the Spotify Kids option since I can’t stand her Justin Bieber messing up my ‘For You’ pages; apparently that idea isn’t going to work since there’s no app…I guess I’m going back to an individual plan and listening to more JB lol…
What a downer...
Totally absurd that the Spotify Kids app is not available on the platform best suited for them.
Just an update from me, (a frustrated parent).
This has been an issue so long my kids have grown out of their Kindle Fires. We bought them regular (non-Amazon) tablets and were able to install Spotify kids without issue and log them into my Spotify Family account in about 20 seconds.
Like the hundreds of parents that have posted in this thread, I'm very disappointed. Maybe my frustration should be directed at Amazon, but Spotify sucks all the same.
Hey there you, Yeah, you! 😁 Welcome - we're glad you joined the Spotify Community! While you here, let's have a fun game and get…
