Spotify Playback Issue on ColorOS 13

My Question or Issue

After updating to ColorOS 13, everytime I switch apps, the Spotify app pauses for 3-5secs then plays again. It also happens when I lock and unlock the screen. Can someone look into it and see if perhaps there's an issue with the integration of Spotify and ColorOS 13?? It didn't happen prior updating my Android OS.

 

Troubleshooting I've done:

-Use another device (Tried Xiaomi on Android 12, works fine)

-No VPN

-Occurs on both wifi and mobile data

-No SD Card inserted

-Clean Reinstall of the app

-System Permissions and Battery Permission has been set to unrestricted

-Tried another Premium and Free account as well. The same issue occurs

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community.


If this behavior started after a specific OS update to your device( in this case Android 13), then this is most probably outside of Spotify's control to patch.


It is best to inform your device manufacturer that the latest update that was pushed to your device has introduced a certain incompatibility issues with the Spotify app.


We will keep updating our app on our end with general fixes and stability improvements, but can't promise that this specific issue will be addressed, since, as we mentioned, it sounds dependent on the recently pushed OS update, which we have no control over.


Hope it gets sorted out soon. If you need anything else, the Community is here for you.

I have the same problem. Hoping this would fix in the next patch or update.
