Spotify SUCKS mobile data

Solved!

Spotify SUCKS mobile data

If I accidentally leave mobile data turned on, Spotify sucks it up in no time at all. Even if I am not playing anything or playing only offline lists. This totally SUCKS.

I can't see anywhere that I can completely turn off mobile data use for Spotify. That is ALL I want. I NEVER want to use Spotify with mobile data. Why doesn't Spotify build this control in? What can I do about this other than stop using Spotify?

Hi there,
Welcome at the Spotify Community!

You may enable offline mode, and disable it only when you want to sync your playlists or new music.

You'll have to be Premium user to enable offline mode.

Thanks - I didn't realise I could do that. Sorry everybody!

No problem! Glad you've solved it 🙂

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I have to manually toggle offline mode. Can't Spotify just detect when I'm offline? Seems counter intuitive to the setting. On premium.

As far as I know there is no way that this can be implemented. You always have to select the offline modus in Spotify. But it is one simple click to switch offline modus on and off again.
