Sometimes I like to listen to Spotify on my phone, but when I'm home I use my computer to play music. On my phone I usually listen to some saved offline playlist, but on the computer I prefer to use the radio in Spotify. Suddenly the music will stop on my computer and it will switch to whichever playlist was last active on my phone. Simultaniously the app will start on my phone but the music remains stopped on both devices.
You'd think I pressed something on my phone to make the app start, but no. The phone might be on the table completely inactive with the screen locked and it still happens. I "soft close" the app and restart the radio on my computer only to have the same thing happen two minutes later! I have to force close the damned thing to keep it from meddling with Spotify on my computer.
Why?! Why on earth does this happen? Is it intentional? I've had this issue over several updates of both the app and the desktop version. I had the problem when I had Windows 7 and I still have it with Windows 8. The only thing that remain the same, is my phone. The Samsung Galaxy S3 running Android 4.3 has proved to have great longevity and I'm not going to replace this well-working phone because of the off-chance that it might cure my issue with Spotify.
