My Question or Issue

I logged into my account and saw that I can't play a single song and absolutely all playlists are empty. I don't know what this could be connected with. Moreover, this problem is only in the application. There is no such problem on the website. What should I do to fix my account? I have already reinstalled the app.

My Question or Issue

I'm facing an issue with my Spotify app that's becoming really frustrating. Whenever I open the "Liked Songs" section, it just shows the message: "Your liked songs will appear here." Even though I’ve liked many songs before, none of them are appearing.

Additionally, when I try to open any random playlist, it says: "This playlist is empty." I've tried multiple times to reinstall the app and update it to the latest version, but the problem still persists.

How am I even supposed to listen to music if none of my songs or playlists are loading? This is really disappointing, and I would appreciate some help in resolving this as soon as possible.

Thank you.

My Question or Issue

I tried to listen to my playlist on Spotify, but the songs disappeared, not only in that playlist but in all of them, the songs also disappeared on my feed and if I try to search any song, it will not appear.

It's not working at all I've done what you told me to but still my playlists are empty and I can't play any song

I actually have the same issue in Belarus. Like, a day before it all worked as normal and now, even after some VPN shenanigans (because there has been problems in the region recently) it doesn't work properly. Site works just fine but app? App decided to take a break, it seems.

This makes NO SENSE! When I posted my last comment everything's been solved. Now I have the exact same issue as before. And this is how're supposed to convince me to pay €10 monthly for a premium account? So disappointed 😞

The same thing. I don't know how to fix that problem 😞

My Question or Issue

I cant see any music in playlists or music by its own. I tried reinstalling the app like 3 times and it didnt help. I dont want to do a complete reinstall without some backup file because then it would take days for me to get back all my music and music reccomendations.

Yes, it was solved the last day, now I opened Spotify and it doesn't work

Hi @jirik365412, thanks for reaching out.

Do you use any other device besides your Motorola? If so, can you check if the issue persists when using it?

Also, please try using the web player and let me know if you see the missing music.

My Question or Issue

All my playlists, even those proposed by Spotify are empty. I can't play anything.

This happens only from the native app. In the web page everything works.

I tried to reinstall, clean reinstall,  log out and log in again. Sometimes, re-logging in I get a message (similar to) "you can use spotify abroad only for 14 days, please change your country...."; checked my country that is still Italy, so it is the right one.

How can I solve?

Actually today I opened my Spotify app and when I checked to play music it didn't work . I thought it would be a glitch so I closed the app and reopened it. But the problem still persist. I try to clear the cache but it didn't work and also tried to clear the data and it also didn't work. Then I tried uninstalling in reinstalling the app but it didn't work. I thought it would be a device problem and I restarted on a try to install and reinstall many times but same it didn't work. So I searched for online resources but it didn't help actually I couldn't find many so I thought of switching my device but the problem still purses with my another two device so I thought it was a problem with my account. I could just change my account but I have spent a lot in that account for making the playlist and all the blend and other stuffs. So I need a help on this and kindly give a solution for this

Same for me. I can't play anything.

I see, @jirik365412.

In this case, I suggest that you clear your phone's cache (not the data). This won’t log you out or delete downloads, but it might fix the broken view.

  1. Go to Settings > Apps > Spotify

  2. Tap Storage & cache

  3. Tap Clear cache

Open Spotify again and check if music reappears.

Let me know if it helps!

Didnt help

I had the same issue.

What I did was delete all the data and cache of the Spotify app, then I uninstalled and installed again, and for now, everything it's back to normal. I read that u did the same, but did you try to do it all at the same time? Deleting cache, data and uninstall the app?

Ok @jirik365412 thank you for your reply.

There a few other tricks you can try:

- Disable Battery & Data Saver Restrictions: Spotify might be getting killed or restricted in the background.

  1. Go to Settings > Apps > Spotify > Battery

  2. Choose Unrestricted (instead of Optimized)

  3. Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Data Saver, and turn OFF Data Saver if it's on.

  4. In Spotify, go to Settings > Data Saver, and turn it OFF.

- Check Offline Mode: Sometimes Spotify sticks in offline mode even with internet.

  • In Spotify, go to Settings

  • Search for Offline Mode and make sure it’s disabled

- Clear App Data: This will delete downloads and settings but keep your account intact.

  1. Go to Settings > Apps > Spotify > Storage

  2. Tap Clear storage or Clear data

You’ll need to log back in, but all your playlists and recommendations will re-sync from Spotify's cloud.

Let me know how it goes.

I tried everything you suggested even deleting the data but nothing helped i dont know whats up with it..

Yea. My regular account that I have for years and years also has the empty playlists etc on android. In web and win app it works perfectly fine.

Funny enough, creating a new account and just use that on the android app makes you at least being able to listen to music. Both accounts have been created in the same country(Germany) and are being used in the same country as well. The newer one works, the older one doesnt. Never changed account region. **bleep**, never even have left the country since I use Spotify.

So the solution apparently is to just create a new account everytime this is going to happen? Unacceptable. Setting up playlists etc, not cool.

How do we fix this?! Proposed solutions do not work.
