Fix this BULL**bleep**!!!! I pay for a service that should work and does not. I pay for these downloads when I am not on WIFI!!! I have had my playlists download OVER AND OVER again for no reason. FIX YOUR BULL**bleep**!!!
Fed up, I started to dowload all my playlists AGAIN !!! Then decided to download Google Play Music instead. I am going to sleep on it but I will most likely be closing my Spotify account. I am tired of the inconvenience of constantly having to re-download all my playlists.
Very **bleep** off with this...
The main idea here is to stop using downloads in spotify.
Going back to my old but gold mp3!!!
This is absolutely ridiculous! I pay spotify for their service and then they do this to their customers? Awful! I'm hoping they refund at least a month of their crappy service. I'm switching apps as soon as i find a good alternative. So **bleep** off! I don't have reception so I constantly use downloaded music and it just ruined my whole day by getting deleted! You suck Spotify!
It happens on local memory as well. I have no SD cards on my Note8 and Spotify keeps removing stuff. Playlists, songs, multiple playlists, nothing seems relevant, it just deletes.
As a developer, it makes me sad to see core features botched like this on a platform this big.
I guess not only me having this constant issue haha
Well... You're not the only one my dear!
Happens to me at least twice a month since 6 months...
Please guys, do something about it...it's reeeeally annoying.
They haven't even acknowledged it's a problem......
Google play music, it's not perfect, but they don't f*ck you as hard.
This f*ck up should be used as an example of how not to run a service. How can a company not even admit this is an issue? Or take so long to fix it? From what I gather it happens on both iOS and Android and on SD cards as well as internal storage, which implies it's an app problem.
Google Play works well for me too.
this problem hasn't been solved since 2013 check it out --> https://community.spotify.com/t5/forums/v3_1/forumtopicpage/board-id/spotifyandroid/page/1/thread-id...
and F UC K you spotify it still happens today in 2018!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes my whole library got removed
Same problem here, Spotify keeps deleting my downloaded songs. I've used 120GB of data (WiFi) in just one weekend as Spotify re-downloads songs each time i open spotify....
I travel constantly and download songs offline for convenience and to avoid costly use of internet abroad. I have gone through 2 different phones and this problem is still persistent. I have been using my main storage since I upgraded to a phone with bigger storage, but it didn't solve it. It's been frustrating to board a plane only to find all your downloaded music mysteriously gone. Or traveling through some country with only café or hotel internet, then finding your music gone with no option to download them again unless one coughs up ridiculous amount of money to download 2000+ songs. What is the point of paying for a service that is supposed to make music organization easy?! At this rate I should just drag and drop all my files manually using my PC, at least I know it will never disappear on me at some inopportune time.
Your service frankly sucks. It has been years, but no effort has been made to resolve this issue. What a load of bullcrap.
Smartphone forced to shut down by low battery.
When was conected to energy and turned on... all my downloaded playlists was deleted !!!!
I'm paying for a premium feature that doesn't work !!!! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.
Just happened to me. Infuriating and incredible that such a fundamental error has never been fixed.
Why is this still happening? Spotify you are useless!
