Spotify on Android Auto stuttering

I am using Spotify to a Google Pixel 7 Pro (Android 15) to stream music while driving.

Since several months now I have the problem, that Spotify starts automatically when engine starts, but the stream skipps a beat every three to five seconds. After about two minutes the streams works fine.

But this is annoying.

It does not matter, if connected wireless or cable. If I switch off bluetooth, the car complains, that phone cannot be used.

I tried changing the cable, emptying cache, restarting the phone, uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Nothing helped. All latest Android updates installed. The problem existed also under Android 14 and since more than a year now on the previous car (Renault Grand Scenic) and the current car (Mazda CX5).

I am on a Premium plan in Germany.

Would you mind checking if the same happens with a different mobile device? Also, could you give a different internet connection a go to see if the same happens? 

On another note, would you mind sending us a short screen recording of the issue happening so we can take a closer look? My Question or Issue

For the past couple months I've been experiencing sporadic "stuttering" or ~1 second pauses in playback, but only when playing in my car (via bluetooth). I've had the same phone and car for years, so I don't understand why this problem is starting now. All the music I'm playing is downloaded to my phone. No issues when listening with bluetooth headphones. Any suggestions for troubleshooting?

I've been having the same problem first on Google Pixel and now on Moto Edge. After Android 15 update, the car audio, which is 99% of my Spotify time, is almost unusable. I've been waiting for bug fixes but just downloaded my 2nd or 3rd one and it's still not solved. Some days it's so bad, it happens 4times in the first 10mins of my drive. It skips, stutters and sometimes stops, and I have to constantly rewind my podcasts to hear a full sentence. With music, it's absolutely infuriating!  I have no problems with Audible, just Spotify. I'm afraid I'm going to have to cancel my subscription and find an alternative if it's not fixed soon... I also can't link podcasts I support on Patreon to my Spotify account, so have to listen to any bonus episodes on the Patreon app, making it really difficult to switch around while driving. It's just annoying. I'm paying quite a lot monthly and it's not working properly...
