My Question or Issue
Hello,
I have a problem with my phone. Since may, I have in my car android auto. When I take my car, I plug my phone, android auto starts and spotify starts too. When I stop my car, I plug off my phone and spotify stop playing music. All is ok.
But since august or september, when I stop my car, I unplug my phone, music stops normally, but a little time after (between 5 and 60min), the music restart on my phone (on my jean's pocket, my desktop, ect...). It's a really disturbing thing...
I try to uncheck "auto start", but spotify don't start, even if I try to start manually on android auto...
Do you have any solution for this issue ?
Suggestions for you:
1. Check for any updates on your phone!
2. Delete and reinstall the Spotify app on your phone!
3. Make sure the screen isn't near anything that can turn the phone on—if this part makes any sense.
no change with these actions...
Spotify continue to start automaticaly
Hey @Aubrybybo,
Thanks for getting back to us.
We're sorry to hear you're still experiencing the issue. Just to confirm, have you tried a clean reinstall of the Spotify app on your device? We recommend the steps in that guide, as they’re very thorough and make sure no damaged leftover files remain. These changes tend to solve issues like the one you're experiencing. Give your device a quick restart as well before you open the newly installed app.
If the issue still persists it's a good idea to perform a clean reinstall also of Android auto. We'd appreciate it if in addition to that you could log in with a friend or family members account and let us know if the behavior comes up there as well.
Keep us posted, we’ll keep an eye out for your reply.
Hi there @Aubrybybo,
Could you try switching the Bluetooth on your device off, once you leave the car and stop playing music?
Let us know if playback starts automatically on your phone then.
Thanks.
