  • With two different speaker (A1 / A4 Pioneer with the right firmware).
  • From Blackberry and Tablet too (both latest android version)
  • Devices wiped and reinstalled (both).
  • Spotify reinstalled.
  • Network ok (Airplay and DLNA work both fine)
  • Spotify Cache deleted
  • Spotify Premium (from July 2013)
  • Always used SpotifyConnect in this configuration.

@robilamm61 Have you tried the Microsoft approach of disconnecting the speaker from the power for a minute then plugging it back in?

Yes, my mobile still show the devices.

No, any error: only change from gray to green for a bit time, then reverse in gray.

I have a big amount of free space on "on-board" and "microds" memories. (9GB/20GB)

Sorry, the question was not for me 🙂

Yes, I tried.

On one speaker (Pioneer A1) I reinstalled the network from start 🙂

Have you tried getting in touch with Pioneer's support? You could also try the Spotify helpdesk to see if they have any ideas.

I think Pioneer was not involved in the process, because the problem is starting from this version (0.7.8.566).

I can try the Spotify helpdesk.

thanks

Hmmm.........I have exactly the same setup as you and same spotify version - listening through the speaker right now. Please let me know the outcome 🙂

I also thought that the trouble can be wired to my Spotify Premium profile (on the remote server) ... I am a bit confused .... I will let you updated 🙂

You mentioned BlackBerry running android app guessing that is sideloaded?

What type of tablet is it?

Yes, blackberry 10 now fully support the apk.
The tablet is no Brand, but the spotify connet has work fine from long time ago.
I downgraded spotify but nothing to do.
I suspect the problem is on my profile, don't ask me what or where.... but this is the matter.... I am confused

Definitely something weird going on, but I suspect it is more likely to be an issue with the speaker than your Spotify account (if you can see the speaker).

Never tried with my one, is it possible to reinstall reset the speaker and then reconnect it to your WiFi?

I have two kind of speakers, the first one is Pioneer A1, the second is A4. Both are usable with DLNA and Airplay. Both were reconfigured and fully set up for fresh. The network is working, but spotifyConnect want not work.

Do you have uPnP enabled in your router settings? It is very weird that it is effecting multiple speakers which may point to a Connection issue.

As added info, today I opened a ticket to the helpdesk, they has unregistered my devices. Then I synchronized from start my local playlists. Without success 😞

My router has not this feature. In this moment I am playing on my Pioneer A1 speaker via BlackBerry Upnp player without problems....

I attached three pictures to show the matter:

1) The Speaker is visible and selectable

2) When I tap on the name, The icon become (temporary) green

3) The icon come back gray after few seconds, no sound on speaker. No sound also in the device, I need to tap on Q10 to hear music from the device. Speakers are not usable (I have two speaker, in the pictures only the first one is ON).

I downgraded Spotify to the previous version: No success 😞

Desperate Spotify user.

Does the light on the front of the speaker ever turn green?

No, the front light of the speaker remain red.

The strange behaviour is that I can play with DLNA / UPnp client from the same device (in this case the light become green, and blue when I use the Airplay).

So seems related to a SpotifyConnect-protocol issue.
