Starting a new DJ session in Android Auto reuses previous session

My Question or Issue

Noticed this using Android Auto in my car.  When starting a new DJ session on a new date in both the Android App and the Windows Desktop App, the DJ will start with a new welcome message.

When you start a new DJ session via Android Auto, it will start playing the previous session's segments.  This is reinforced by starting with the same songs, and the fact that the DJ references the previous day (i.e. it'll say Tuesday when it's Wednesday)

Hey @ChadEmm,

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

We think this behavior can be related to some damaged cache stores in your mobile phone. So, for starters, we'd recommend you clear the cache of the app on your mobile device by going to Settings and privacy. There, locate the Storage tab> Clear cache.

After that, you should do the same for the Android auto app. To do this, go to Settings > Apps > Android Auto > Storage & cache and tap Clear cache and Clear storage. Then, perform a soft reset of your mobile device (turn it off and then on). Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

If this behavior should persist after that, there are a couple of things you can check:

  • Make sure both the apps are up-to-date.
  • Make sure that your phone and car's infotainment system are running the latest software updates.

Keep us in the loop!
